ATAB-Trappan has been a leader in staircase design for many years. Thanks to high flexibility and not least responsiveness to our customers’ ideas and wishes. Below is a brief description of the most common design variants.
DESIGN-TRADITION
ATAB’s design tradition is the classical one, with recessed steps in the side pieces. But even in the classic, ATAB is unique. To avoid creaking in the staircase, and to get a really tight connection between steps and stringers, we mill a pin in the step end which is hooked around all four sides. Quality must also be found in the small details!
DESIGN-WF
The WF staircase is a new type of staircase developed in recent years. It has no inner wing, which gives the interior a more airy and elegant appearance. The WF-Staircase is a combination of the staircase craftsman’s skill and modern high technology. The WF Staircase is made only from hardwoods with balusters and handrails adapted to today’s demands for form, function and elegance.
DESIGN-NEW AGE
ATAB’s NewAge is a completely new staircase design with new thinking and innovations based on ATAB’s long tradition of craftsmanship and quality thinking. The exciting design language makes NewAge the staircase design of the new era.
DESIGN-STEPPED TREAD
The overlay (sometimes called underlay) design is a very old construction where all the steps rest on top of the supporting parts (stringers). With this variant, you get visible step ends, which further enhances the “staircase look”. With the help of different materials and finishes, you can achieve a nice contrast between the different components, and combined with beautiful railing parts, you get a bright, open and timeless design.
DESIGN-SPIRIT
With a very modern and exciting design, the Spirit design has quickly established itself as our most popular staircase furniture. The different profiles, the centered stringers and the innovative handrail solution make the Spirit staircase a jewel in the modern home.
DESIGN-MINIMA
With the Minima staircase, ATAB has succeeded in creating a staircase solution for really tight spaces, without compromising on the feel of the furniture. ATAB-Minima is available in a standard and a customized version, Minima-Flex.
DESIGN-SPACESAVER STAIRS
ATAB’s loft ladders, also known as loft ladders, are normally used where minimal space is available. A summer cottage or guest house where a sleeping loft should be reached in the most convenient way possible. With the ingenious step construction, which is available in two variants, the length of the stairs is shorter than would otherwise be possible. The stairs can because of. stairs can only be manufactured as straight stairs.
