Our woods and finishes
The choice of wood is a very important part of your stair design. Irrespective of the shape that you choose for your stairs all our woods and finishes are available. Paint and metal can also be used to accentuate and emphasize the natural beauty of the wood.
Most of our standard woods are hardwoods, and are therefore very durable. The slightly softer woods, on the other hand, give a lovely natural feel. Whichever you choose, all the woods are solid.
o give a really even, smooth surface to the finish of the strings we use a solid core of pine with MDF on both sides.
he woods shown below are ATAB-Trappan’s standard woods, which are always in stock, ready for use at short notice in your own particular staircase design. It is of course also possible to obtain other woods if desired. Delivery times may then be a week or so longer than normal.
